You will present your first draft of your project in class on April 12 to me, your classmates, and a visitor from Philadelphia’s Office of Innovation and Technology (I think — this is still not totally confirmed). Your presentation will be 8 minutes long, followed by 10 minutes of questions/discussion. After, you will have chance to chat with our OIT visitor more for direct feedback.
In your presentation you will:
1. Give your revised project elevator pitch. What is the problem you see? How does your project address this problem? Be clear, direct, and persuasive. (~2 min)
2. Give an overview of how your project works. Briefly present a revised diagram of your project. Be clear about your inputs (sensed data) and your outputs (responses to the sensed data). (~2 min)
3. Demonstrate your working model of your project. You should try to do this live, but it may help to have a video, too (just in case it doesn’t work or it’s difficult for an audience to see). (~3 min)
4. Discuss any additional design or technical questions your team is wrestling with. You can ask a few questions of the reviewers and class, if you want to. (~1 min)
Please submit your slides/videos to Canvas the night before class and I will have them ready to go on my computer.
I’m looking forward to seeing your projects!
